After an operation, patients who need to stay over night will often stay in the Surgery / Urology Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center. This unit cares for patients who have had vascular, urological, thoracic, plastic or other types of surgery.
Room Accommodations
The Sugery / Urology Unit has 47 patient beds in a combination of private and semi-private rooms. It is divided into north and south with nurse's stations at each end. Each room is equipped with cable television and each bed has a telephone with long distance service.

Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, and Rehabilitation Therapists are available to help with treatment and consultations.
