The inpatient acute care Medical Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center cares for patients who are being treated with surgery or medicine for pulmonary, gastrointestinal, vascular, and general medical conditions.
Room Accommodations
The fourth floor unit has 26 patient beds in a combination of private and semi-private rooms. Each room is equipped with cable television and each bed has a telephone with long distance service.

Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, and Rehabilitation Therapists are available to help with treatment and consultations.
