More than 3,000 people have toured the new Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital at New Hanover Regional Medical Center since the ribbon cutting took place Thursday, August 14. Five hundred people including donors and special guests joined in the ribbon cutting festivities celebrating the new Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital.

On Saturday, August 16, NHRMC hosted a Public Open House allowing residents to tour the new building and see live technology demonstrations. Over 1,800 people stopped by for a sneak peak at the new facility that will revolutionize heath care for the women and children in our region. They enjoyed live music, food, a professional story teller and magic show.

Employees and volunteers who will work in the new Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital had an opportunity to tour the facility with their families on Sunday during a special appreciation event. Over 350 employees, volunteers and their families attended. Tours for the remainder of NHRMC employees are being held today. The first took place from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with over 450 employees stopping in to see the newest addition to NHRMC. The final opportunity for employees to tour will be this afternoon beginning at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m.

The Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital will open for patients at 7:00 a.m. on September 14th.
