New Hanover Regional Medical Center provides many of the newest treatments and techniques for bone and joint care, including hip resurfacing and the latest technologies in joint replacement surgery.
 
The NHRMC Orthopedic Center is ranked among the top 10% for othopedic care by a national ranking agency.  With a dedicated team of technicians and orthopedic surgeons who are board-certified or eligible in orthopedic surgery, the Orthopedic Center offers access to clinicians experienced in handling even the most complex cases.
 
The center includes specialists in hand, foot, ankle and spine as well as arthroscopic surgeries, sports medicine and joint replacement.  Each year, the orthopedic team replaces more than 1,400 joints, giving patients an opportunity to get back to a more active life.
