First two newly renovated patient tower floors ready to open June 27 & 28

On June 27 and 28 patients on two of New Hanover Regional Medical Center's inpatient floors will move to the top of the medical center's  patient tower and find a setting dramatically different from what they left.  The ninth and tenth floors are the first of the patient floors to be renovated.  The other seven floors will be renovated, two at a time, until complete in December 2010.   For more information, click here.

NHRMC Patient Transfer Center

New Hanover Regional Medical Center Regional Communications has introduced a new Patient Transfer Center. This team will help ensure the transfer of patients to and from NHRMC is smooth and efficient. The center will assist with hospital-to-hospital transfers as well as direct admissions from physician offices. - more information here  

Quarterly Physician Breakfasts 

The Quarterly Physician Breakfasts offer an opportunity for our Medical Staff to enjoy social time together, meet one on one with our Senior Administrative team and also to meet physicians new to our Medical Staff. The breakfasts are held from 7:00 am to 9:00 am in the Physicians' Lounges.

The 2009 schedule:  August 12 - NHRMC; August 14 - Cape Fear; November 5 - Cape Fear; November 13 - NHRMC.

Portal Training Classes

Physician Portal training course for physicians and mid-level providers. This is for those who are new to portal and those who need a refresher course. Classes are every Monday at 9am in the IS Training Room on the 2nd floor of the New Hanover Regional Business Center.
