The Pender Memorial Hospital Emergency Department is available 24-hours a day to help people who need emergency care.  Since joining New Hanover Regional Medical Center, the Pender Memorial Hospital Emergency Department has been staffed by the same board-certified emergency physicians that treat patients in the emergency departments at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital. 

Expansion

The newly expanded renovation costing $1.4 million gives the Emergency Department new space and equipment.  The expanded treatment areas are equipped to meet specialized needs like cardiac, trauma, gynecological or pediatric care.  Patients and visitors using the new Emergency Department also have easier access by parking in front of the hospital and using the new patient entrance.
