2131 S. 17th Street Wilmington, NC 28401 910-343-7773
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is dedicated to helping patients who have had heart disease adopt a healthier lifestyle. The program includes education and exercise in a friendly environment. Participants who attend regular classes develop a camaraderie that is supportive and helps the healing process.
The
Facility
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program includes a spacious,
brightly-lit exercise room surrounded by windows and filled with modern exercise equipment and weights. It opened in 1996 thanks to the generous contributions of the community through the 1995 Coastal Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Monitored Exercise Sessions
Personalized exercise prescriptions are developed based on individual needs. The program is adjusted as participants progress. Strength training and aerobic exercises are used to increase endurance and improve overall health. Dietary Consultation
A clinical nutritionist meets with participants and family members to identify current dietary habits. Together, goals are established to help the participant lose weight and improve their overall health.
